About Zeta Laboratory

A laboratory built around a single discipline: telling the truth about objects.

Zeta Laboratory was founded in Geneva in 2009 by three scientists who shared one conviction — that the art market, museums, and courts deserved analytical evidence held to the same standard as pharmaceutical or aerospace materials.

Mandate

Independent by design.

We do not buy, sell, or broker the works we examine. We do not accept commissions contingent on a particular outcome. Our reports are signed jointly by two senior scientists and reviewed by an independent ethics board before release.

Principles

What we will not compromise.

Independence

We never buy, sell, or broker the works we examine. Our only product is evidence.

Reproducibility

Every measurement is logged with raw data preserved for 30 years and re-analysable on request.

Method pluralism

No single technique is decisive. Conclusions require corroboration across at least three orthogonal methods.

Team

Scientists first.

Our 18 senior scientists publish, teach, and adjudicate in the same journals they cite. Many hold dual appointments at European universities. None are employed by auction houses or dealers.
