Object received under chain of custody. Photographed, weighed, and assigned an immutable ZL identifier.

Non-invasive survey
XRF, multispectral imaging, and UV inspection map composition and condition without sampling.

Sub-millimetre samples are taken only when essential, in agreement with the conservator.
